Ambassador Degife Bula Wakjira was born in 1968 G.C. He has dedicated his life to the fields of law, leadership, and promoting justice and good governance in Ethiopia. He holds a LL.B, a LL.M, and a MA in Leadership and Organizational Management. Since 2018, Ambassador Degife Bula has been working at a high-ranking position as the Director of Federal Justice and Law Institute at Ministerial level. In February 2011, he was appointed as the Special Envoy and Ambassador of Ethiopia to Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This role allowed him to represent his country abroad and foster diplomatic relations between Ethiopia and those countries
Furthermore, Ambassador Degife Bula served as the Speaker of the House of Federation, the upper house, in the FDRE for five years, from October 10, 2005 to October 10, 2010. In this position, he continuously championed the constitution, equality, and unity of citizens. Ambassador Degife Bula Wakjira was upgraded to Head of the Justice Bureau in the Oromia regional state from October 2001 to October 2005 where he was acting as the deputy from September 2004 to October 2005. In these roles, he dedicated his efforts to conflict resolution, ensuring justice for all, and maintaining good governance.
His career began at the Ethiopian Television Agency, where he served as the Department Head from 1991 to 2001. During this time, he demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and played a crucial role in promoting the constitution and unity among citizens.
