Administrative Affairs Coordination Office

A detailed presentation was delivered by Mr. Getachew Mengiste, Head of the Administrative Affairs Coordination Office, regarding the Institute’s three-year (2018–2020) roadmap. The presentation covered situation analysis and background ideas, strategic direction and objectives, as well as the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation framework. During the session, experiences and practices from different countries were also presented and discussed. Participants, including staff members and managers, raised various questions, opinions, and suggestions, and adequate responses and clarifications were provided during the forum.

In the 2016 E.C. budget year, the institution’s annual plan was prepared based on the strategic plan. It was developed through coordination of the executive managers within the institution and the Director’s Office, and was organized by the Institutional Reform Executive Office. The Skills and Human Resource Management Executive Office, which is part of our department, has planned and implemented activities in this budget year to ensure that, based on the institution’s new structure, qualified human resources are properly organized. In addition, it has planned and is implementing various result-based training programs aimed at building the capacity of professionals as part of human resource development. The Strategic Affairs Executive Office is working based on the institution’s ten-year strategic plan by preparing both short-term and long-term plans. It is also conducting in-depth studies of each work unit as part of its activities. The Basic Services Executive Office has been implementing its duties in a way that ensures efficient service delivery during the 2016 E.C. budget year through proper planning. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Executive Office has begun its planning activities by focusing on the technological outputs implemented within the institution during the 2016 E.C. budget year. In addition, it is working on introducing new technological systems as well as implementing technology projects in collaboration with partner institutions.
